Sandbar shark

It is a shark with a squat body. Its nose is moderately long, rounded up. Its top denture consists of triangular shape, long teeth with serrated edge. Its first dorsal fin is very high with an edge which extends between the two tail fins. Its back is greyish brown, possibly bronze brown without differential pattern, the stomach is white. The fins are smooth, their ends may be a little bit darker. We may find it not only in the coastal waters but also in the open ocean, around the continental sandbars and islands (the continuations of islands under a water surface) and the neighbouring deeper waters. It can often be found in bays, river mouths and harbours, but it avoids the sandy coasts, the zones attended by surfers, the coral reefs, the parts of the seabed with a rough surface and the surface waters. Generally they stay near the bottom until 280 metres. It is known as an animal wandering notoriously, roaming over big areas. It depends on the season which of the areas we can see it in. His food consists of mainly bony fish but it eats even smaller sharks, shrimps, rays and snails.
